Lakeview County

Lakeview county is a small picturesque valley area just east of the Boulder Mountains. Being under the shadow of these mountains does much to create a pleasant climate. The humidity is low, and the scenery stunning. Rainfall is plentiful, thus making wheat farming especially successfull in this region.

According to the census in 2000, Lakeview County is home to just under 3000 people. 35% of the population is under the age of 18, and 22% of the population is over the age of 60.

Wildlife abounds in Lakeview. Here you will find Bison, Antelope, Bald Eagles, not to mention the full spectrum of typical farm animals. Mountain lions are known to appear in the valley every so often as well.

The vegetation in this region is a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees. Pine trees grow well here, and supply our lumber yards and carpenters with excellent pinewood.
